The title is from my keynote for AfroComicCon 2019. I’m not a consistently practicing visual artist, although I did just illustrate my own children’s book about 4th grade girls fighting the president’s sexism. But in a pandemic, sometimes words fail, and I want to create a vision of what I want to see in the world.
